zCloak Network in 2022
2022 is a year of rapid development for zCloak Network. Like many Web3 builders, we sticked our heads into project R&D, hoping to bring high-quality products with zCloak’s unique user self-sovereign solutions to the Web3 community in the next rise. In 2022, the zCloak team has achieved from 0 to 1 in terms of technology and product development, and will dedicate to optimizing from 1 to 100 in the future. We sincerely thank the zCloak community and the Web3 world for supporting the zCloak project, and hopefully we can continue to collaborate with like-minded project partners next year to jointly provide innovative ideas and build efficient products. zCloak Network sincerely hopes to deliver the Web3 dream of self-sovereignty. We have taken this as our purpose, and will forge ahead on the road of future development!
Technology and Product
Core technology. Self-sovereign data with user side zero-knowledge proof computation. First in the world to propose a ZKP computation scheme for self-authenticating data in user device with a research paper submitted to IEEE conference.
International standard. zCloak Network has registered the “did:zk:” W3C DID method for its zkID product. It has also implemented an improved version of the W3C VC protocol for credential ZKP computation.
ZKP wallet. zkID Wallet is the world’s first browser extension wallet that supports general purpose ZKP computation in user device. It is both the holder of user self-sovereign data and the environment for ZKP computation. It can work side-by-side with any existing browser extension wallet.
A set of SDK. Web and server side SDK for zkID login, attribute-based authentication, credential attestation and ZKP verification. Seamless integration with any existing Dapp or Web app.
A live product. zkid.app provides a full suite of W3C DID and verifiable credential service, including the generation of DID and user claims, credential attestation and verification service and an end-to-end encrypted communication channel. No token, no gas fee and free for all.
Team
From 10 to 25. The zCloak team members are now spread in Asia and North America. We have also recruited dozens of international ambassadors worldwide.
Fund raising
Early in 2022, zCloak Network finished its $5.8 million Series Pre-A fund raising participated by Coinbase Ventures, etc.
Community
zCloak twitter and Discord community member has grown from zero to 50 thousand in one year. It held dozens of community events including the world’s first zk-Guessing event for the World Cup Games and a private social relation network event during the Christmas holiday. It has participated in hundreds of workshops, AMAs and Twitter space talks.
Business Collaborations
In 2022, zCloak Network reached collaboration agreement with scores of leading exchanges, public blockchains, wallets, asset management institutions, DeFi, gaming, law firms, auditing firms, KYC/KYB companies.
