FYI, in this edition of our newsletter, we’ll delve into the specifics of these developments, providing you with a comprehensive update on our progress and what’s next for zCloak Network. From exciting new features to strategic marketing initiatives, there’s a lot to look forward to.
Product and technology
In July, the zCloak Network team continued to work full speed on Cloaking Layer, the universal ZKP verification layer for all chains. We are gald to release the beta version of the zkVM playground, the ZKP explorer and EAS integration.
In the zkVM playground, users will be able to program their customized ZK logic and generate a ZKP in their browser. Currently, the Polygon Miden zkVM is supported. More zkVMs such as RISC0 and Jolt will be added later. After generating their proof, users can send the ZKP to the Clokaing Layer for verification and the result is clearly exhibited in the ZKP explorer. Then the user can select a target chain to send the ZKP verification result. The result will be signed using threshold ECDSA signature by the same smart contract which performed the ZKP verification, ensuring the same trust assumption for both proof verification and ZKP result delivery.
As far as we know, the Cloaking Layer is the first of its kind in the ZK industry that can decouple ZKP verification and ZKP result delivery, making it very versatile for many ZK use cases in which projects aim to use ZKP in non-Ethereum blockchains such as ETH-L2, Solana and BTC-L2.
Event
Valid One Protocol Ambassador Program
From July 1 to July 29, the first phase of the Valid One Protocol Ambassador Program was successfully hosted. The program recruited 10 ambassadors as the picture shows.
Over the past month, our 10 ambassadors actively engaged with communities, creating content and sharing insights to highlight the protocol’s benefits. Their efforts were instrumental in reaching new audiences and encouraging adoption. 90 pieces of content were created in total, this included blog posts, social media updates, videos, and webinars, each crafted to explain the unique features and advantages of the Valid One Protocol. The content resonated well with the target audience, achieving an average of over 2000 views per piece, indicating strong engagement and interest.
In terms of community engagement, the ambassador-led initiatives significantly contributed to onboarding 274 new users, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in converting awareness into active participation.
In summary, the program successfully raised awareness about the Valid One Protocol’s capabilities, especially its applications in enhancing data security and privacy through advanced cryptographic methods. And the ambassadors played a crucial role in simplifying complex concepts, making them accessible to a broader audience.
What’s more, a lot of compliments to the program and the team were received from the ambassadors like “It was great and seamless. I’d say one of the best programs I’ve been a part of.”, “ the ambassador agent Cassiel is one of the best I’ve worked with, delivering on point, and also has time to answer our questions. I really appreciate it.”
AMAs
Public Goods: the World of ZK
July 4, an AMA was hosted by Dethings with the topic “Public Goods: the world of ZK”, representatives from zCloak Network, ZKF Community, ZKLink, ZKSpin, and SCroll presented as speakers.
w3tester, the founder of zCloak Network, mentioned the importance and giant potential of ZK tech at the very beginning. It is crucial in scenarios where privacy is essential, such as verifying identity or financial transactions, where you need to prove your credentials without exposing them.
What’s more, he also introduced one of the flagship products Cloaking Layer to the audiences. He emphasized that the Cloaking Layer is not just about individual privacy; it’s about rebuilding trust in digital systems. In a world where data breaches and privacy violations are increasingly common, having a reliable mechanism to protect data is critical. By integrating the Cloaking Layer, organizations can ensure compliance with data protection regulations, enhance user trust, and ultimately contribute to a more secure digital ecosystem.
Besides, in the context of the session’s theme on public goods, w3tester also emphasized that privacy-preserving technologies like the Cloaking Layer serve as public goods. They provide widespread benefits by improving the security and trustworthiness of digital infrastructures, which is crucial for the broader community.
Solana Blink: Crypto Mass Adoption
July 6, an AMA was hosted by Chaincather with the topic “Is Solana Blink about to open the ‘Magic Portal’ for crypto mass adoption?”, representatives from Rootdata, zCloak Network, HashKey, Bonfida, and the industry builder presented as speakers.
During this, w3tester, the founder of zCloak Network, shared his insights on crypto mass adoption and illustrated the role of privacy in the crypto adoption process. He mentioned that for mass adoption of crypto to become a reality, users must feel confident that their transactions and data are secure. This is where zCloak Network’s Cloaking Layer comes into play. Our Cloaking Layer is a privacy-focused solution that protects sensitive user data using advanced cryptographic methods.
What’s more, “as we look forward, it’s clear that privacy technologies will play a crucial role in the evolution of the crypto ecosystem. The Cloaking Layer is not just a tool for enhancing privacy; it’s a vital component of the infrastructure needed to support widespread and responsible crypto use.” w3tester said, “By ensuring data protection and user trust, we can help open the ‘Magic Portal’ to a more inclusive and secure digital economy.”
