Visa and Solana met ZKP
In September, zCloak Network partnered with the DePIN project UP Network in Singapore to submit the world’s first POS machine transaction to Solana using Zero-Knowledge Proof.
By tipping a Visa card to pay on a regular POS machine, the transaction details are made into a verifiable credential in the acquirer’s server and anchored to the Solana blockchain in a privacy-preserving manner. Subsequently, a local computation of the transaction fee is performed using a zkVM, without sending private payment details to any outside server or ZK mining machine. This is in line with the financial regulations of Singapore, which mandate that all payment data must be kept local. The generated ZKP is sent to the universal ZKP verification layer, the Cloaking Layer of the zCloak Network for verification. The verification result is digitally signed by the same ZKP verification contract using the threshold signature of ICP and written back to Solana.
The successful demonstration of the payment flow coupled with ZKP proving the transaction fee in Solana showcased the effectiveness and flexibility of Cloaking Layer during the Token 2049 event. This is also the world’s first real-world use case that combines ZKP with payment on Solana. zCloak Network is set to make more real-world ZKP use cases possible with our Cloaking Layer.
Event
Token 2049 in Singapore
During Token2049,zCloak Network successfully participated in the Dfinity-hosted side events at The Fullerton Hotel from 19 to 20 September, hosting a two-day offline booth showcase. Through well-curated product demonstrations, on-site Q&A sessions, and interactive user experiences, zCloak significantly boosted its brand awareness, attracting approximately 300 visitors, including potential clients, investors, and industry partners. During the event, we identified over 20 potential collaboration opportunities across media, technology partners, and industry influencers, laying a strong foundation for future market expansion.
This event presented a good opportunity for zCloak’s strategic growth within the industry. In the future, we plan to introduce more interactive elements in future events, like raffles, competitions, and giveaways, to deepen user engagement and brand loyalty. We will continue to refine our booth experience and marketing strategy to sustain and enhance our brand’s influence.
Cloaking Layer Ambassador Program
From Aug.15 to Sep. 12, the Cloaking Layer Ambassador Program ran for 4 weeks. Designed to promote multichain zero-knowledge proof(ZKP) verification solution, the program successfully engaged a dedicated group of Ambassadors committed to advancing privacy-preserving blockchain solutions. Our Ambassadors created a wealth of high-quality content, including articles, tutorials, and videos, making complex concepts more accessible to a broader audience.
Throughout the 4-week program, more than 80 pieces of content were produced, including blog posts, social media updates, videos, and webinars. Each piece was designed to highlight the unique features and benefits of the Cloaking Layer. The content performed exceptionally well with the target audience, averaging over 3,000 views per piece, demonstrating strong engagement and interest.
As we wrap up the Cloaking Layer Ambassador Program, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all Ambassadors for their hard work and dedication. Their efforts have significantly contributed to our mission of democratizing zero-knowledge technology. Though this chapter has closed, the relationships formed and insights gained will continue to shape our journey forward.
